Germain Santailler is one of the youngest talented vigneron around. He learnt everything from Jean-Claude Lapalu, one of Beaujolais natural wine pioneers. His father passed away in 2020 and at the age of only 19 he took over his fathers 7ha domaine located in the village of Marchampt. His father would always sell grapes to other wine makers but Germain now makes them into their own wine. 2021 is his first vintage.
This is a richer style of Beaujolais. No carbonic maceration but richer dark fruits and more complexity.
