Vinification: Whole bunch grapes are fermented in wood and 38% of grapes are macerated for 7 days. Natural yeasts used. 10 months aging in barrels that are 10 years or older. Malolactic fermentation takers place, unfined and unfiltered.
Bright acidity with great texture on the palate makes for a good introduction to a wine that has partial skin contact. Pairs with seafood and chicken.
Jurgen Gouws has worked for many great winemakers around the world including 4 years with Craig Hawkins but since 2015 has solely concentrated on Intellego and rents vineyards for his project. The vineyard the grapes come from has a cooler climate and facing South East on granite soils.
